UK (Newman University) Adult and Mental Health Nursing degrees receive regulatory approval
Degrees in Adult and Mental Health Nursing at Newman University Birmingham’s School of Nursing & Allied Health are now officially approved by the UK Nursing regulator the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
Ronnie Meechan, Head of School (Associate Dean) Nursing and Allied Health within the Faculty of Arts, Society and Professional Studies said: “The team within the School are ecstatic at the positive review that we received from the NMC and are excited to be working collaboratively with our practice learning partners including several NHS Trusts across the region and a group of people who use services and carers to be delivering a contemporary programme, with state-of-the-art facilities. We are committed to producing excellent future nurses who will be supporting healthcare for local people and providing a workforce to our NHS and Social Care colleagues.”
As the newest nursing education provider in the city of Birmingham, the School of Nursing & Allied Health is located in the newly refurbished Nursing and Allied Health facility at the Bartley Green campus. The School will provide a state-of-the-art nursing and physiotherapy facilities, including an immersive room designed to recreate the experience of working in a busy health environment and using enhanced realism to train and teach students.
Students will be able to choose between three distinct courses in Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Physiotherapy from September 2023, developed in collaboration with the university’s practice partners and delivered by a highly-experienced and passionate clinical teaching team.
